A story from my coaching work

Noah Cais.
Among Europe’s
leading U23 runners.

I have coached Noah in middle- and long-distance running since May 2024. His story begins in football and leads through his first track races to a German U23 title.

Where he started

From the start
to today.

Today’s personal bests tell only part of the story. His background and the races in between help show how Noah has developed.

  1. 2023

    From football to running

Noah had played club football since childhood. When he began police training in September 2023, running became part of his routine. His talent was noticed there.

  2. May 2024

    From instructor to running coach

I was Noah’s instructor before becoming his running coach. I have coached him in middle- and long-distance running since May 2024. An early documented result: 4:28.94 over 1,500m in Munich on 11 May.

  3. Summer 2024

    Early progress on the track

On 19 June, Noah ran 2:02.96 over 800m. By 13 July, he had broken two minutes with 1:59.78. Over 3,000m, he improved from 9:29.57 in July to 9:07.15 in September.

  4. 2025

    The step into steeplechase

In Karlsruhe, Noah ran 9:03.34 over 3,000m steeplechase, faster than the U20 European Championships qualifying benchmark. In August, he ran 8:49.31 and finished ninth at the German senior championships in Dresden.

  5. 2026

    New bests. Two U23 medals.

On 1 March, Noah ran an indoor 800m best of 1:48.98 in Dortmund. Further personal bests followed in the summer. At the German U23 Championships, he won steeplechase gold and 800m silver.

Our work together

On the track.
And between sessions.

I coach Noah both in person, through club and individual training, and remotely. I review the sessions we do not complete together from a distance. I continue to monitor his training between our in-person sessions.

Noah’s coaching combines work in person with remote analysis. My offering for new coaching clients is remote; active training monitoring is included in both coaching options.
